The Percival Proctor was a British radio trainer and communications aircraft developed from the Percival Vega Gull. The Mk.I was the first version specifically tailored for the Royal Air Force, entering service in 1939. It was primarily used for training wireless operators and navigators, but its reliable performance also made it a favorite for liaison and VIP transport. During the war, Proctors were ubiquitous at training airfields across the UK, providing a stable platform for the crews who would later operate Britain’s heavy bombers.
