The Percival Proctor Mk.III was a three-seat communications and radio trainer aircraft used extensively during WWII. Following the end of the war, hundreds of surplus Proctors were struck off charge and sold into the civilian market. With their robust wooden construction and reliable Gipsy Queen engines, they became a common sight at flying clubs across Europe and the Commonwealth, often sporting vibrant civil registrations. These aircraft served as comfortable tourers and were even used in several long-distance air races of the 1940s and 50s.
