The Curtiss-Wright CW-22, also known as the Falcon, was an American general-purpose advanced training aircraft developed from the CW-21 interceptor. The CW-22B was the primary export variant, featuring two seats in tandem and a semi-retractable landing gear. The most significant operator was the Netherlands East Indies Army Air Force (ML-KNIL), which used them for scouting and training. During the invasion of Java in 1942, many were destroyed or captured, with several examples later being tested and operated by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service.
